About Doctor
Dr. Islam Hamdy is considered one of the leading opinion leaders in ophthalmology in the Middle East. He specializes in cornea, refractive surgery, cataract, and glaucoma. He graduated and trained in ophthalmology at Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt. He began practicing in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 2001. He obtained the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) in 2002, followed by a Doctorate (MD) in 2004, and a fellowship in Alicante, Spain, in 2005. He currently serves as an Associate Professor at Ain Shams University and is a member of several prestigious international ophthalmology societies. He is also the author of several significant research papers in the field and continues to work on multiple innovations in ophthalmology.
