About Doctor
د. إسلام حمدي يُعد واحدًا من أبرز قادة الرأي في طب العيون في منطقة الشرق الأوسط. وهو متخصص في القرنية، جراحات تصحيح الإبصار، المياه البيضاء (الكتاراكت) والجلوكوما. تخرّج وتدرّب في طب العيون بجامعة عين شمس في القاهرة، مصر. بدأ ممارسة المهنة في المملكة العربية السعودية عام 2001. حصل على زمالة الكلية الملكية للجراحين (FRCS) عام 2002، ثم درجة الدكتوراه (MD) عام 2004، وتبعها بزمالة في أليكانتي – إسبانيا عام 2005. ويشغل منصب أستاذ مشارك بجامعة عين شمس، كما أنه عضو في عدة جمعيات دولية مرموقة في طب العيون، ومؤلف لعدد من الأبحاث المهمة في هذا المجال. وقد كان ولا يزال يعمل على عدة ابتكارات في مجال طب العيون، حاصل علي عدة براءات اختراع في مجال جراحات القرنية وتصحيح الإبصار، عضو سابق بمجلس إدارة الجمعية الدولية لتصحيح الابصار ممثلا عن المملكة، وعضو مؤسس في الكلية الدولية لجراحات تصحيح الابصار وعلوم النظر، والمراجع الأول لخمس سنين متتالية في دورية تصحيح الابصار الدولية.
